As It Was For Me Poem by Susan Adams

As It Was For Me

You came in the wet, satin depths of me
rogue wave broadside
determined ambition
of burst pain
Tsunami on the run
fearless, focused
escalating cleavage of sanity
arched gasps edge union
swollen gag
then certainty
takes over, takes all
on the avalanching wound of surrender
slowed motion
waves of lost control
hollowed howl hurled
over and over
louder than loud
retched from the black hole of your
implosion.
I ride on it – the you of it
skin chilled wonder
lost to you
you to it
