As If Poem by Gabrielle Tastet

As If

as if
the
world has
ended
on a cloudy day
i look
down
and all
alone
but knowing paladins exist
they forgot to ask my name
at the pearly gates
you lo
ok up and see me i wo
nder if you've grown
always assum
ing the worst of people i see you
standing there
we have to guess the
best
is
best
and the rest is under duress
i'm not the
brightest soul ever
