As I Go Poem by Amity Willows

Storm clouds hover over my head,
This isn’t what I ever wanted,
Now I’m leaving and I’ll never come back,
Will these tears leave at last.
I look out the window, seeing everything go,
I look at the world I once thought I knew,
And I know in my heart, I’ve got to make start,
I have to make my own way here in a new place.
I think it will be for good me,
To finally leave, to realize my dreams,
But I have one worry that plagues me,
Will I forget all I know, as I go.
