As I Enter Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I think it is special and memorable day to find its way
Once in a year you are greeted with fanfare on birthday
What a way to celebrate it with close relatives and near ones!
You may get totally different greetings from some ones

It is high time to look back for the years passed by
You might have tried earnestly to touch the sky
There may be missions of questions emerging in mind and why?
There might be sordid moments to re member and cry

How to forget childhood days spent with parents?
Why not remember love and affection given by the aunts?
How could I simply forgo my instance for new pants?
How gracefully mom used to pass the lovely comments?

Friends and students used to tease on my bulky character
They used to be funny and called me as an actor
I was funny too in my dealing and making them smile
Those were the golden days and has remained in memory for a while

I need to brush up and prepare for tomorrow
All hatred, bad feeling in back burner and not to allow
To make lie very smooth as river water flow
Greetings with smile and putting up of good show

This is how I wish to proceed in coming years
Will it help if I dress up well and new cloths wear?
If I fail to address the problems wipe the tears
What will be use of living in life for long years?

Nobody would like to hear unpleasant words?
Everybody may go to sacred places and offer prayer to Lords
Mind and heart beats to same old rhythms with full of dirt
What will be use even if we put on clean and costly shirt?

If I can make one good friend on this day
It will ultimately go long way and pay
They will com to my rescue and show the way
I too from my deep heart wish to extend same and pray

I have the honor of being live and witness
There might have been hardships to face
It is definitely a good game or race
I must thrive for best and try to trace


I wish to pick up threads and strart from stretch
I must seize all the opportunities and try to catch
Cover with lost time and come out with grand success
Open to all with open hands an allow the easy access
