As I Climb Higher Poem by Abekah Emmanuel

As I Climb Higher

Rating: 4.6

As I climb higher,
I spot many changes in me
Some invisible to the eye,
Others so clear that even
With no light, every eye can still see.

As I climb higher,
I find good reasons to be sad,
While I see better reasons to rejoice,
Ask my friend Harris,
And he will tell you life,
Is only meant to perish.

As I climb higher,
I ask mummy no more questions,
For the answers are here, I see!
Ask Joseph Hill, 'keeper of zion's gate'
And he will tell you,
We live, only to learn!

As I climb higher,
I see my problems increasing,
But I guess you know why,
Ask my friend Benedicta,
And she will tell you,
It is through problems,
That we build self confidence.

Now as I climb higher,
I see the race too hard,
But I dont throw in the towel,
You ask my friend the soldier,
And he will tell you,
No retreat, no surrender!

the climb is never too hard poet friend. set your goals high. Look to the stars and never look back. The higher you climb the harder it will get be sure you know where your goals are set Take one step at a time until you reach the top. with determination it will happen. your poem is beautiful you are well on your way. never give up

You're a rising star, Abekah. Your mum knows you better than anyone, you'll always need to ask her questions. You're a young man yet. Life in general can be extremely hard for many. I'm sure you'll make a huge contribution in your lifetime. Another well written piece.
