As I Am

Wild flower,
Camilla blossom,
Ripped weathered pedals,
Love love love,
Where is the love,
Where is the trust,
Scrolling through terms,
No need to read conditions,
Unavoidable frictions,
Fixed hot plates,
Had heated debates,

Denzel was my dream mate,
Towered tall, dark and handsome,
My heart be held for ransom,
Charm like a book out of place,
Made it hard for a girl to concentrate,
In mirrors like the definition of fly,
Flashing glimmer of life, retrograde,

The lord my witness,
My rock crumbled,
Like Heaven to touch,
Insensitivity torched insecurity,
Followed
Behind him like
A walk up the side of a hill of feathers,
Turned to a fall from Bella Vista
Another woman played fool,
Yelling at myself, instrumental- tool,
I coached, cheered, confirmed
Your existence as a man,

Apple bits gush apart in lips,
In midst of condemnation
Humming You Move Me,
He loves me from my
Achilles heels to my
Intelligent mouth,
I speak on
Our mistakes, our pain
I wouldn't take away the rain,
Round and round we go,
Fighting seasons indulging
In May weather.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
