Arson Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

Arson

Without you,
I'm making love to an empty bed
putting myself
your lipstick on my skin
and dripping your perfume
on my tongue
just to remember
how it was
to kiss you.

Without you,
I burn every day
from the things you forgot here,
or didn't fit in your suitcase,
hoping
that you might see the smoke
rising from my house
and return.
