Arrogant Men Poem by Francis Duggan

Arrogant Men

A lack of respect for others to arrogance give rise
And though all men grow old sometime few do grow wise
And arrogant men by the harsh things they do say
Of others give rise to the us against they
Most arrogant men others like to control
One might say they are lacking in light of the soul
Arrogant leaders of powerful Nations do abuse their power
They crush the white rose of peace such a beautiful flower
For to cling to power paranoia of those different they do spread
They are responsible for the millions of the young war dead
It does not mean you are wise if your hair it is gray
There's no fool like an old fool as some are known to say
For bestowing on them power the price we must pay
When they create the monster of us against they.
