It is hard to believe there are still arranged marriages in this world today. In the 1800's, my Grandparents had an arranged marriage - they were from Mierto, Sicily. It's hard to believe that an arranged marriage would actually work out. It seems though that love slowly grows into acknowledgement, nurturing and growing seeds of love and caring until it blossoms beautifully into a lovely marriage garden! ! A great poem on a rarely heard of subject in these modern times. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn (Report) Reply

To war and arms I fly.

True, a new mistress now I chase,
