Arise The Students In Tamil Nadu(India) ! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Our youths race to streets to have
the repast of a delicious fast
to demand justice for the genocide
wrought on Tamils in Lanka
and to heal the wounds of the people
who were bitten and gouged by
the cannibals of barbarian Sinhalese.

Those whose blood boils and stirs
call their student folks to come out
and augment the mass of youths
who had sprung out to go on fast
without a second thought, seeking justice
from the human conscience of the world
to amend and support the resolutions
brought out by the USA to book the killers
of chidren, the women and the old in the war.

To carve out Eezham for the Tamils in Lanka
they starve in the heat of the Sun
with suppressed hunger pangs
and frown hiding serene faces.
The goal, the leaders in India feared
to say in open for three decades,
has been adopted in a few months by the youths
and they begin to defy the meaningless laws of Delhi.
