Are You There Poem by Dawn Franklin

Are You There

Are you there can you hear me
The wind blows and the leave begin to fall
The air is cool as the summer days begin to fade
Are you there can you hear me
As the days begin to grow shorter and shorter and the sun
Shine less and less
I keep wondering if you are there if you can hear me
The wind softly blows against my skin as I kick the leave with my feet
Wondering if you are, there if you can hear me I cannot control the tears as they begin to roll down my face as the cool air blows, the summer days fade away
As I’m still hear
