Whilst taking a holiday in East Africa
I was shocked to see poverty everywhere.
On a visit to a village, a young boy said,
"Are you ready and prepared? "
As I handed him a pack of pens I said,
"Am I ready and prepared for what? "
"The day of retribution is coming, " he said.
And I said, "It'll come if I'm ready or not."
He smiled at me, with his thick African lips,
and his sparkling big brown eyes,
and shook his right finger at me and said,
"Well, then you won't be at all surprised.
when the angels come down from heaven,
with flaming swords in their hands.
They'll be here to smite the evildoers,
the cruel, and the corrupt of our land.
They won't be here to give out warnings,
or to forgive the evil their sins.
They'll be here to cleanse the earth of evil,
and you'll hear the angels sing.
The cleansing will be harsh and ugly,
and no mercy will be shown.
People will ignore the cries and screams,
as the evil reap what they have sown.
There will be no hiding place for the wicked,
no escape from the angelic wrath.
Female and child sex abusers, corrupt politicians,
and religious zealots, will all breath their last.
The innocent shall fear no retribution,
for they are surely the meek.
They shall inherit a better place to live on Earth,
where no one is afraid to live or speak."

A poem full of hope and confidence for a better time to come. Yeah, it may be late but it will come for sure. The goons who have looted the wealth of the state and killed the innocent have to die like worms. Thanks for giving a hope to the people of Africa and world at large through this poem.5 from me.
