Are We Ever Getting Together?
Sometimes you are sober, sometimes rude,
Are We Ever Getting Together dude?
What kinda confusion are you creating?
Do you even know in your mind whats running?
'Neither will I forget you, nor our chats'
By hearing this,
my heart peacefully sat.
If you think that avoiding me would help in my studies
it isn't true,
Coz my heart knows that special people like you are very few!
You always give me mixed kinda hints,
How can I predict whats really going in your mind?
Our sweet conversations in my brain and heart are still running on,
I wonder what between us do you find wrong?
I always dream about us standing together,
Holding hands together
Exchanging cute smiles together,
But if it never comes true
I'll be the biggest jerk whatsoever!
After you, I wont be able to trust or love anybody
I'll not show my care any further,
So better you tell me and make it clear now,
Are We Ever Getting Together?
I feel like this is a good expression of the misunderstanding that can come between 2 lovers oftentimes, as one party thinks he/she is being noble (I assume it's a he) by leaving the other alone, while the other thinks this means he doesn't like her. Well done. P.S. However, I believe it might be good for your talents to also be put to good use on other topics as well - perhaps some philosophical struggle or emotion other than love? Just an idea, one that I try to adhere to. It's easy to stay within a comfort zone, but I think you have too much talent to only be spent on one topic :) Have fun, keep writing!
