Are Not There Poem by David Harris

Are Not There

Rating: 5.0

You never know how much you care
about someone
until they are not there,
then you realise
they mean more to you
than you originally thought.
When they are many miles from you,
your emotions kick in
and you really start to worry
what has happen to this friend.
You hope and pray
they are all right,
that nothing bad
has happen to them.
Then unexpectedly they contact you.
You are relieved
more than you can say.

Hmmm......Quilty feelings ride with this poem....as I lay sick in bed at home....with just an arms length away....I could have emailed you and saved the day....but why did I wait so long....and leave you in angst that's wrong....I should have remembered the night I didn't know about you....and how scared I was I didn't know what to do....It really makes you stop and think from the start....who are the ones that are special in our heart
