Apricots Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Apricots

Apricots hit’s the spot,
I say what,
he say’s apricots hit’s the spot,
I say not,
Apricots do not hit the spot,
he said which witch is a wish,
I say not nor or a deed,
he said indeed you do understand,
I said no,
only moments ago or so,
when I had dreams,
falling from the sky,
I will go to bed and lie,
lay to sleep and slumber
he ask in a gasp,
I say yes to nights rest,
he said I protest,
to early to bed,
I said I am Sorry,
I must rest my wary head.
