Apprentice Poem by somebody else

Apprentice

Nine months you wait for a little being,
and you know you love him, before even seeing.
It is a shame he's coming to a world, filled with hate,
but you still imagine for him, a life thats great.
And when he is born, you cry out loud,
this is my son, in whom I will always be proud.
And when you look with pride, and see a precious smile,
a tear comes, for perfection you have not seen into long awhile.
You are so glad, there is someone to teach,
that the wicked world, did not yet reach.
You know you must do your best, to raise him well,
and to help him see, and avoid the paths to hell.
So to train and guide, you must do it fast,
for the days of childhood, do not last.
And when he is grown, into the world he will go,
and you pray you taught, all he must know.
Then all you hope, is that you did your best,
so that he will withstand, the devils test.

Great Poem brings out the whole life story, and reflects the concern of a Parent. Written beautifully.
