Apple Pie Memories Poem by Nicole Zimmer

Apple Pie Memories

Rating: 1.7

I sat with mama as she peeled apples
We talked about
School
Boys
Birthdays
Weddings
Funerals
Even sex
For as long as I had something to say
She had apples to peel
Her hands, surely tired, never wavered from their duty
Mama had the best apple pie
