Appetite

You are what you eat
And driven by appetite
You consume foods with delight
There are people
Moderate and sensible
Content with just enough
Or with a little
Be it junk food or munchies
Spicy or crunchy
Seduces us with ease
There are many ways
To partake in a meal
If appetite is slight
Then you might peck and nibble
If you are famished
You are likely to gobble
If you are ravenous
You are more likely
To end up in devouring
Rather than eating
Those who scarf up their meals
Are oft seen finishing first at the table
And those who gormandize
Are people fond of eating good
Oft indiscriminately and to excess
And there are people
Who gorge and nosh even
Hungry and fixated
People are never, ever sated
For they are profound
What they want
Is always good food
Relishing good food is everyone's pleasure.... But there are many ways of approaching food! Some eat just to satisfy their hunger... Some relish each morsel and consume it with grace and in moderation! Some are so gluttoness that with the alacrity of a lion pouncing upon its prey, attack food as if they have been starving for days..... Some eat to excess, never caring for what their body can afford to have.... some make a mess of it! This is a very interesting poem and unique in its treatment of the topic! Enjoyed!
