Apparition Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Apparition

Rating: 5.0

O green forests!
save our souls
O young maidens!
cherish our days

O joyful children!
brighten our spirits
O colorful garden!
strengthen our hearts

O gentle fathers!
widen our horizons
O caring mothers!
sweeten our dreams

O calm seas!
spread your smiles
O prosperous skies!
send your tenderness

you've been very fond of a serene cloud nine
can an odd agenda be trusted in an age of famine?
however you may try hard to deny a forbidden offspring
love and nature are going together to enter a hollow building?

sometime a sunrise also need to take a rest
in an anniversary of charming harvest
whenever a heart's light deplored
can a waterfall be explored?

half soul transcends to moon
vicious desire sleeps at noon
with all strength rainbows glow
why all pleasures have to bow?

stay on these roads, my friends
whatever it may happens
just look back in tender
nothing can force lover

Debussy String Quartet's harmonies
senses our deepest feelings
O eternal beloved!
say our love

Janacek String Quartet's melodies
touches our deepest hopes
O eternal beloved!
bring our love

Schumann String Quartet's tunes
holds our deepest wishes
O eternal beloved!
shine our love

Ravel String Quartet's rhythms
hugs our deepest souls
O eternal beloved!
spread our love

Great poem, but I believe the eighth stanza or paragraphed section down might need a little more polishing. Like to the 'When ever it should Happen' should be changed to happen. God bless us all-MJG.

I like the blending of styles - it certainly adds colour and music to the poem...10
