Apex Poem by Cee Bea

Apex

it was in that moment

that felt like a wind
whirled...
that had taken the short path
against my grain

Another chapter?
I presumed.
With the feel of fall
a few falling leaves
and a cluster of swallows
dancing across
the blue and white
I was the unfinished sentence

how intrinsically bound
we are to time and its
deep pockets of change

I now know
how light life becomes
and
how heavy, memories are

finding myself bearing tears
for that, which I am not sure.
noting for evidence they make way
even in the apex of a smile

Aloha Cee Bea... Nice Handle... busy, busy, busy... are we? Thank you for your posts of this cycle... full of interesting thought food and politely penned... I now know how light life becomes and how heavy, memories are This particular line grabs me by the jewels... Very few individuals are allowed a lifetime of experiences that are wonderfully satisfying and effect no inner turmoil... But, being the creatures we all are... funny how it is that the more negative memories flood to the forefront of one's thoughts in that moment... of self's doubt... you outline the somber yet profoundly true dilemma of living's experience... we are after all only the equivalent of the sums of our whole... in this lifetime... So why not smile? Really good composition, great subject material, and near perfect presentation... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two.
