Another Year

Another year, another waste of time
Another tear, shed for another crime
Another death, another life thrown away
Another breath, wasted in another way
Another dream, shattered like a mirror
Another scream, it’s cause drawing ever nearer
Another fate, coming ever closer to an end
Another hate, directed at was once a friend
Another lie, told to protect the ones we love
Another eye, watching every motion from above
Another life, filled with so many possibilities
Another strife, bringing another man to his knees
Another fear, that death draws nearer ever second
Another year,365 more days with which to reckon

Poem of the Day

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
