Another Year Poem by Ashley Dowdy (Forbus)

Another Year

The sky falls when night calls
Today I survived another year on earth
Tis the time to find my hearth
No longer allowing life get me down
Instead of staring at the dark nights of the sky
Ill gaze soully at the twinkling stars
Reaching for that hope that they shine with
This is my wish
To feel refreshed with live because things could be worse
Getting back up on my high horse
I say this in vain because I know my reasoning will fade
Life is tough and it always will be
