Darling Lili, in two weeks time it will be the day,
When all around will honour you,
For you will celebrate your Sixty-Fifth Birthday,
But yet again, I will not be with you.
Each day, each hour of every day,
I think of you, come what may,
And wish that we could together be,
To enjoy each other's company.
The days are long without you there,
But rest assured that I do care,
About how you are, and what you do,
But of my thoughts you are not always aware.
I have planned my Life with thoughts of you,
Daily, Hourly, and Weekly too,
To make things right and the Future good,
And hoped that you fully understood ~
That now we are both working less,
And my illness has caused this financial mess,
My prayers are for a future bright,
For us both to do what is right.
