Another Lucid Dream Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Another Lucid Dream

Rating: 4.9

As the scalpel
cuts through my flesh
I am wide awake

As the surgeon tells me
that I will survive
I feel the pain
as he slices through my fingers

As I rise from the table
the surgeon steps back
with a fright

I tell him
I've just realised
I'm lucid dreaming
so I'll see him another time

It's now time
for me to awake from sleeping

Sounds more like a nightmare rather than a dream - definitely scary.

Surgeons do operate now with the patient awake so how do you know its not a dream, scary.

Vivid dreams, like this poem, are amazing. I can't help pondering what it is our mind, or our heart, is saying to us in dreams such as this. I truly like this poem Dave, very good.
