Another Dreary Monday? Poem by Simon Gowen

Another Dreary Monday?

Rating: 5.0

Another dreary Monday? It needn't be so bad
There's fun around the corner mark my words
So while you're sitting stewing, turning very slightly mad
Thinking everyone around you are just turds

Make plans for the weekend, play pranks and play the fool
The worst that they can do is send you home
There's only four more days, well you can count them on one hand
So you better get your buddies on the phone

Plan two more days of drinking getting trashed and throwing up
And peeing all your wages up a wall
Then waking up on Sunday with a stranger in your bed
A monster that you pulled when at the ball

So think about it carefully, your boss does you a favour
He pays for you to very slowly mend
The evil man that watches though his beady little eyes
Is your paying Monday morning little friend
