Another Delay Poem by Katherine Perry

Your thoughts for tomorrow
Are with you today
And what you put off today
Will be yesterday's delay

How many of yesterday's delays will you let
accumulate and add to the past
While giving yourself excuses
As to why the delays do last

And the delayed problems of the past
Those are now gone for good
But they will still dominate the present
Just like in the back of your mind, you knew they would

Don't worry about multiple goals at the same time
It would only overwhelm you
Causing you to replace it with a glass of wine
Or even maybe two

You see the measures of our peace of mind
Is being able to live in the present moment in time
If you cannot do that
Then you might as well put yourself and your goals
on rewind!
