Another Day
it's another day
waking up feeling new
seeing all things new again
from these old weary eyes
without prejudice without
the bias handed to us
from the previous days
the trembling is gone
my hands are strong
my mind expectant
cool and calm my eyes
shall be, and warm and deep
my heart shall be.
