ANOTHER CHANCE

Snow blanketing the grass
Fresh sheets to write on
What words? What deeds?

New whirls, new curls —
perhaps ––– a flourish
–––– details of my life

Foot steps in the snow
melting away, scriptured water
washing away the infidelities of my life.

It is snowing –– again
gently ––– softly
moisturing the day hands of the hours

Who comes to visit?
Night now –––
.....................even the crickets are stilled.
