Tonight I pray
I can find a way to take this from me
That my words can ease
The weight from my chest
And this page can bear the sorrow
My heart no longer can
I see you on your knees, much like me
Wincing as I try to mend your wings
You stray from me, prideful or untrusting of my strength
Still all I can do is reach
Will you ever stop leaving me?
Am I so small, so weak?
That I cannot hold the one I need
To be unwanted and worthless
To all that matters to me
Lost and hopeless I scream
What can I keep?
In death and deception I lost every piece
To all that I fight for
I am unknown, unseen
The silent warrior
The unrequited love
The jaded dreamer
The anomaly no one else can be
