A few years ago, I was living life alone,
I had no one to tease, or to comfort me,
After being brutally abused by the so-called X's,
I thought true love doesn't exist.
If it did exist then I was the problem,
Not sure but one way or the other,
The so called relationships turned fruitless,

Then on a certain date, I decided to break all the bondage,
But did I;
Or God decided to lead me to a different life process,
Cause from the first moment I set my eyes on you,
I saw a glimpse of what heaven ought to be,

They say you don't accept a guy who has just proposed you,
Morally its considered insane,
Like we females should not scope so low,
And that's a big precaution.
Nevertheless,
I will never believe a statement again that start with, ' they say'
Cause you proved me otherwise.

Today I celebrate, we should celebrate,
Cause I'm not the luckiest girl but the blessed one,
Ever-since, I boarded the relationship bus,
You're still the one i sit up all night thinking of,
The one that makes me smile alone for no reason like an idiot,
You're still the one in my heart that i can't let go,
The only image in my mind that i see even when i close my eyes.

I miss you more than you miss me,
I love you more than you love me,
This is my life and for the rest of it,
I want to wake up in your arms knowing I'm protected.
I give you the honour of taking care of my fragile heart,
Cause you the only one eligible to keep it intact,
Like I said its fragile,
Do not break it apart.


Be my man forever so that,
Pessimistic temptations of separation can be proven guilty and wrong.
