Angels' Wings Poem by Elia Michael

Angels' Wings

Oh angels, come and watch over this child
And take him far away to lands where sleep
Cajoles each child to quit his play and wild
Activity and lulls them into deep
And pleasant states of slumber. Return him
When hours have passed, for I'll have missed my dear
And darling son who is so full of vim.
Please bring him back for I do have this fear
That something evil may befall my boy;
So angels be on guard, protect this one;
For I would not be able to enjoy
This life, without my precious little son.

O angels in the heavens up above,
Enfold protecting wings around my love.
