Angel Of Winter Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Angel Of Winter

Rating: 5.0

Temperatures were suddenly falling
Ice and snow blanketed the highway
Within the flurry an urgent voice was calling
To the spin out a caring person was on her way

With little concern except for the distressed
The kind soul stopped and got out of her van
While proceeding on her humanitarian quest
Devastating tumbling metal terminated the plan

With saddened eyes and muscles too weak to lift
Witnesses stood… their heads bowed in prayer
An angel departed with wings that were swift…
Heaven’s arms opened as headlight beams glared
