Angel Of Light Poem by Leaking Pen

Angel Of Light

With my tyranny I ruled a vast empire
I woke up from my dream as a vampire.
A possessive greed took hold of me
And killed my soul but not its mutiny.

With vengeance eyes and hungry teeth
My power grew from hell underneath.
Greed the devils core became my creed
My soul in death planted each new seed.

Power and deception filled my cup
I drank and drank from a hollow cup.
True Angel of Light please take me down!
And put an end to my deceptive crown.

Is there no one saint amongst the crowds?
Or just darkness like mine under the clouds.
It seems God has surrendered freely his powers
To my Babylon, I unlike God- control His towers.

Part of me yearns for a bullet made from silver
Or a wooden stake or even drowning in a river,
And to be cleansed from the curse of Cain
And with God's amazing grace to be saved again.

Where are they the knights in shining armours?
All I see each night are desperate snake charmers.
Bazaars after sunset are my graves to roam and grind
I steal souls to survive, to a nocturnal existence I'm confined.

How many souls have I put down in the deep?
My history stuck on repeats and I do not weep.
My lifestyle is too dangerous to keep a friend,
Or am I mimicking humanity's everlasting trend!

Love does not grow or survive inside a carcass,
When the light can't reach inside ones darkness.
My mentor reared me forever to have thirty fangs,
Shame on him, I'm now the poster boy for all gangs!

With my tyranny I ruled a vast empire
I woke up from my dream as a vampire.
A possessive greed took hold of me
And killed my soul but not its mutiny.

With vengeance eyes and hungry teeth
My power grew from hell underneath.
Greed the devils core became my creed
My soul in death planted each new seed.
