Angel In Distress Poem by Rik Bertrand

Angel In Distress

Rating: 5.0

I have been abandend and my heart drips,
Like the pedals from a dying rose.
My Reason for existing is fading fast,
For my love has lost his passion for living.

I am weakend by his failure to understand love,
His failure to realize that love is not a possession.
Love is a commitment to a life of pleasure,
With that one person that undrestands you intirely.

I am a fallen angel with a bleeding heart,
And can only pray that my ma soon comes to understand.
That he soon looks into his soul and sees that I am his Angel,
I am the one that cherisches his every move in life.

Never give up on what your heart tells you is right,
Others know not your inner feelings or your gifts.
Oh man of mine, with your heart so full of my love,
Come back to me and I shall wrap my wings around you.

I shall comfort you and show you true love.
We shall intertwine our thoughts and visions.
We shall understand the worlds wants and comings.
we will become one with each other and we will survive.
