I know you have to go
I wish it weren’t so
For all I need now is your love
Just because you came from above

You showed me that light
Ever since that first night
Made me feel like me
Opened my eyes to see

You’re like my shooting star
Love you for who you are
Took me out of my maze
Rescued me from my way’s

You took the wheel to steer,
Driving through my fear
To them you’re just a stranger,
But with you there is no danger

For you I’ll walk the line
I just want you to be mine
You are the apple of my eye
I won’t make you ever cry

But if it’s our very last night
I’ll put up one hell of a fight,
Forever be by your side
I’ll be your eternal guide
