Andromeda Poem by Maurice Rowlands

Andromeda

African Princess
Bound to the cliffside rocks
In chains
Mediterranean breeze tangling up her silky black hair
Waiting for a hero

Mythological Princess
Bound to a man
Perseus
Mediterranean ideology tangling up her innocent soul
Waiting for salvation

Doomed Princess
Bound to hope
Cetus
Mediterranean monster of the sea
Waiting for his quarry

Celestial Princess
Bound to the heavens
Andromeda
Mediterranean Princess becoming a galaxy
Waiting for discovery
