And They Lived Happily Ever After Poem by ANJALI SINHA

And They Lived Happily Ever After

Rating: 5.0

The damsel’s,
quiescent buds were bursting in bloom,
“shall I take these buds away”,
said the audacious frosty knave,
“No leave me alone,
Till my blossoms have grown”
Orisoned the damsel in distress,
As she oscillated from head to toe.

The damsel grew up,
And bloomed and groomed,
And all the world was aghast,
“shall I take the buds away”,
said the intrepid dandy as he swung,
“No leave them alone
till I have bloomed to the full”,
said the damsel,
as bashful as a schoolgirl,
and delicious as forbidden fruit.

Now the damsel bore flowers,
As fruitful as Egypt,
Both crimson and white,
Glowing brightly in the summer’s sun, .
Said the handsome chivalrous Prince,
“May I now----“
“Yes, Yes---take them all,
Am all for thee, ”
Said she,
Smiling delectably,
while she let down her tresses,
Gracefully and avidly,
To a benediction-,
Till the golden canopy of the evening sun,
Enveloped them,
And they lived,
happily ever after.

this is a cute poem. I love the flowery language. It makes the poem seem more exotic.

Beautiful poem. Loved how the words you used brought me back through time. To a time of 'happily ever after'. Thank you.
