And So She Would Hide Poem by Stephanie Blodgett

And So She Would Hide

Rating: 4.5

There was a girl
She walked these streets
No one loved her
They thought she was a freak
She stayed lonely
She kept to herself
She walked alone
With nobody else

She had no companions
No one by her side
She was scared of the world
She always wanted to hide
But sooner or later
They’d come to find
The more they hurt her
The more she died

They thrived off her pain
There was nothing she could do
They thought she was stupid
She was a fool
She’d cry them a river
But still it would hurt
She got so sad
They treated her like dirt

She would stay in the closet
Singing the same song
She’d stay in the darkness
Were she belongs
To ugly to come out
To scared to think different
In her eyes, she was non-existent
And so she would sing

It hurts so bad
Bunds like fire
Stings like a razor
And yet it takes me higher
Higher in the sky as I fly away
The pain is too much
I can no longer stay
Fly like a bird
Sore like an eagle
I have to get away
These just too much evil

And so she disappear
They all thought she died
But she flow far away
So forever she could hide
