And I Chose You! Poem by Asma Khan

And I Chose You!

And I chose you
over my fears, and my dreams
in a hundred yards and miles

And I gave you
all my love, and my attention
in one millionth of second and hours

And I made you
my home, and my heart
to live each moment, each day

And I felt you
anywhere and everywhere
with a touch in no time

And I found you
in silence and secrecy
like a secret not told for a century

And I placed you
in my life, and in my thoughts
for no one can come there between us

And I asked you
to be with me, and to be for me only
for nothing compares to what you are

And I let you
go far away from me, out of my dreams
to see you happy with whom you chose over me! ! !

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
How does it feel when you are not that chosen one? Sometimes, we choose to hurt ourselves and there is no choice given in that.

Dear Asma, it feels so sad not to be the chosen one, very sad! But there's a reward in any sacrifice, and yours is the power to impress anyone with the words from your big heart! You'll make a great poet!
