And As Is Said, 'all Is Fair' Poem by Edwin Tanguma

And As Is Said, 'all Is Fair'

And As Is Said, 'All Is Fair'

It was a cold frosty morn
Summer's warmth had long faded
My feelings for you were torn
And our love had grown jaded
I feel you never loved me
You did not want me to be

To you I was a stranger
You were colder than winter
I remember when we were
I would bark while you would purr
So are things with dogs and cats
And among those who wear hats

Maybe one day we'll be one
Under a bright and warm sun
Together we could have fun
We could write until we're done
You and I would be a pair
And as is said 'All is fair'
