Ancient Wisdom Poem by Savita Tyagi

Ancient Wisdom

Rating: 5.0

Vasudhav Kutumbakam - Universe Is Family

A concept that springs from
Wisdom of ancient saints
Put your faith in it and it is true to its core
Revealing an eternal truth in guidance
Expanding narrow corridors of heart

Just like one puts faith in a deity
With a votive of light and litany
Believe in it and it invokes
Finest emotions of reverence
Don't believe and it is just a stone

Sa Aham (That I am)

You! The abode of Universal Spirit-
Believe in it and its unlimited power.
Not to believe is like being a product
Of some mechanical principle
To be a mere robot sans soul and heart.

Ancient sages were far advanced in thought. There is more territorial conflict in the modern world. Where is the thought of citizen of the world. The power of an individual builds up with belief in self. Beautiful poem providing wisdom of thought.

Faith in Universal Brotherhood and humanity will definitely expand the corridors of our heart! Ancient sages sang of brotherhood as a life 'mantra'! If we can believe that our body is the abode of the universal spirit, we will never do anything to harm our body or others' body! Let us at least remember those ancient sages and their sagacious teachings with reverence! Profound thoughts, Savita!

Ancient Indian philosophy is a vast ocean of wisdom, no one comes back from this ocean without obtaining a pearl. A lovely write.
