Ancient Well Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Ancient Well

Rating: 5.0

Weeping like a Mayan Forest
Waiting for you with temples
Everything in blocks of alienation
Tensions where demons lie
Love is not a carnal Eden
Her pagan sweetness is empty
Bitter with addictions illusion

Jerusalem calls with relentless purpose
Her gates are my ultimate joy
Tremble as the angel's war
She hears, she paces
Tears revive the humble
I must travel by camel
Across the desert to the ancient well
