An Unforgettable Love Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

An Unforgettable Love

Rating: 5.0

She appears in the tranquil covering of night,
I can see her beautiful figure all around,
I can feel her charm and dignity,
But I can not hear a sound.

I can see her in all places now,
Affected by imaginary perceptions that be,
Especially, carving initials and the word love
On the trunk of a sturdy oak tree.

She is with me on a porch swing,
While birds soar on high,
After a gentle rain refreshes the earth,
And a rainbow appears in the sky.

The roses put forth their fragrant bloom,
Reminiscent of her loving, sweet embrace.
When I touched one of the colorful roses,
It seems I touched her fair and memorable face.
