An Orphan's World Poem by Mohammad Akmal Nazir

An Orphan's World

Rating: 4.4

The world is hell like when pleasures are shunned,
He wishes to cry his cry is ceased,
Seeing all this humanity remains stunned,
Its value seems to be utterly decreased,
Everything seems to him farther and farther,
When the child loses his most loving father.

An orphan's life is miserable, indeed. The plight of a child orphaned by national calamity such as tsunamis or by road accidents are heart breaking as his life takes a turn towards misery, uninvited, unexpected and unwarranted. Narayanan.

Very lovely poem that presents the really of the world. Father like a tree or shelter who protect his child from the scorching sun of the world and when a child loses him, he feels the cruel sun on himself. The language is simple but expression is excellent.
