An Ode To What Never Was
I loved you so much I let you go
Or maybe I loved me too much to hold on
You'd planned our end before we began
And I feared my heart was too fragile
To swell with such anticipation
And then have a boulder crash on it
You knew little
I knew nothing
We both had our fears
But I'd hoped we'll look more to our love
I hope fate's winds
Blow us back together
Better still, I hope God's hands
Join ours forever
