An Ode For You! Poem by sania harris

An Ode For You!

Rating: 5.0

I don’t recall a 5th grade face
Flashing before my eyes right now
If I had known you then,
This destiny would have been diverse
Now you are my partner, my friend

I love calling you ‘flab’
Tagging you by that name
I know you hate it so much
But that’s what causes all the fun!

Then you rose to be the vice captain
Duty in your hands
Destiny was in chance,
I was along with you!

Your cheeks go red in summer
Sleek like a just turned leaf!
I’m sure it’s every girls wish
To pull it hard once!

I have to confess I hate your class
Entering it makes me go dizzy
Everyone screaming your name out wide
A teacher there, they don’t bother!

DJ chatting in your I-D
Sure made me go mad
‘cos then I confessed a lot of things
Thinking it was you!

I love it when you stand up for me
And I hope you remain to be the same.
I have hurt you, I know
Those memories, I hope they fade…

After school, we may part
But the bond will still be tight
And I hope years later
I can call you ‘flabby’ and fight.
