An Ode For The Lovely Persephone Poem by Inday Prising

An Ode For The Lovely Persephone

(for tonio)
the terraces @ 07-21-09

An entity alone in itself
I sit here in this lonely place
full of desolation and solace
in my livid state
I watch the clouds
settle in space

Amidst the confusion
and the daze
I feel my body
slowly fading
turning into something laden

Like wind chimes
played softly
by the afternoon breezes
Like old signage's hanging
in abandoned mazes

then I saw myself
leading
a little crowd of shadows
wondering
towards the lovely Persephone's
grand mansion of halos
