An Image Of Your Gaze Poem by Mark R Slaughter

An Image Of Your Gaze

See!
my flowers flush
flaunt

Sort of dancing
in the bleach of sun
rebellious

Beaming back in blaze
defiant

We sprawl across each other's limbs
A verdant orgy
spoiling for disorder
haemorrhaging
coming colour

swells

turgid greens
push

splay out
silky foliage

Ornate
we wrestle
in our jewels

Now!
be the trees within the wood

A baby blue lobelia face
dinky hat
singleton of mind
inside this mighty picture

O! MANIC LIFE

Focus!
I'm the lonely
shy

an image of your gaze
to hone your beauty
err it fades

Brown eye catches
blue-blush cry
to read ‘I Miss You'

My centre-face
bleach-white
flares the message

About me
screams

The chorus ruptures
blows in Turner tones

Shattering your reply
