An Etheree- Living Dead

I wished him
Happy New Year
he smirked and beckoned
took me to hutments behind
tall concrete buildings dwarfing human beings
famished comatosed female lying devoid of feelings
puzzled and shocked, looked to him for explanation,
“ raped by drunkards from that society of yours, Sir
I die every day, now wish me Happy New Year.”

Let us remain together still,
Then it will be good night.

How can I call the lone night good,
