An Eternal Moment Poem by Ranadeb Bhattacharya

Through the nimbus of wafting clouds,

Spread across the endless blue,

A thin shimmer of pure silver

Lands softly on a waxing dew.



The daisies in their purpled shade,

Swings in the tarrying breeze of love

While the glowers on the solitary bower

Fades into weary dots of silence

In the thickets green on the quiet expanse.



The violets on the verdant glade,

Spreads their sweet dreamy incense

All across the ciders fallen

From brows weary of their full juiced burden.



My heart is lost in a veil of mist,

Everything melts away like clock less moments.

Like bubbles skating in the spring of ecstasy,

Like blending passions in the rhythm of mystery.



Her lips trembled and faintly parted,

The moon light through her long dark hair flirted.

Like specks of silver on strings of pearls.

She stood frozen with a heart left throbbing

For a moist fed touch of wanton mischief

A piece of heaven was her strongest yearning,

To essay the passion lingering on her lips,

In the soothing solace of a lovers kiss.



A radiant aura filled our souls,

Bathed in the sunshine of a redeemed love,

And all thirst for skin wilted away

Reducing lust and her mastery,

Into a piece of mindless parody.



In the vastness of her amber eyes,

My wandering heart finds repose,

In the silent murmur of her breath

Roses blossom and speak of love.

Many hearts touched by the spell of life,

Have felt this way many years before,

Many more shall feel this way,

In a future without our memories.

Where many a heart shall find unity

Like this moment rhyming for you and me.

The sole light of truth

In this canvas of delightful fantasy.
